The genesis of What She Said is rooted in a combination of shared history and serendipitous happenstance.  The boys of the group had played together previously in other musical outfits.  A mutual friend recommended the singer when the initial vocalist and her successor departed.  A change of the band’s name, approach, and dynamism ensued.

What She Said features a unique and original blend of pristine and polished vocals with gritty, aggressive instrumental sounds.  The vocals seamlessly weave an ethereal and delicate delivery; a bellicose and vicious howl; and a trained and authoritative voice that offers an uncommon inventiveness and daring, while always remaining fitting and tasteful.  The driving, percussive drums and compelling fills meld with the creative bass that features an innovative, refreshing originality, and with the workman-like guitar and its concoction of ferocious rhythm and potent solos, to generate a robust and powerful musical amalgam.

The group employs a wide, eclectic mixture of predominantly Rock music sprinkled with some Pop, Top 40, and Country, some of which are covered straightforwardly and others which highlight the band’s imaginative ingenuity.  The lengthy song list guarantees the audience members will hear numerous recognizable and beloved songs, and offer opportunities to sing along, dance, and bond with friends and strangers alike through the world’s universal language:  music.
